I am sharing this BRILLIANT article from BRILLIANT from my long-time friend, mentor, and teacher Jane Sarasohn-Kahn.
Why? Because, now more than ever, it is bordering on criminally negligent to ignore how patient/consumer trust in healthcare—writ large—has not just unsurprisingly declined, but exponentially eroded to the point where we may need to start from scratch.
America, especially, has arrived at this moment in time where even nonprofit reputational capital is far from what it used to be.
So, where are consumers turning?
Certainly not to us.
They are turning to each other.
One need look no farther than the tireless authoritative work of Susannah Fox and so many others on the anthropologic shift away from institutionalized content into peer support health and wellness.
Reverse-engineering your core value and brand promise from TRUST is tantamount to success and failure. And there have been way too many failures, in my humble opinion.
Within the DNA of every single episode, show, limited series, and documentary exists that rare value of starting with raw authenticity, knowing who our listeners are in advance, and creating the value and the engagement they never knew they needed.
Trust is the beating heart of OffScrip Health, as it should be, and we wish to support, teach, and learn from our colleagues and partners in the rising tide that is the next great consumer health revolution.
(We're long overdue)
Bravo Jane.
